A runcible evening

A friend told me about an craft evening happening very close by over the weekend. Organized by the people at The Runchible Spoon as a part of the Brooklyn Zine Fest (which is happening soon!), the idea was to gather up people and ask them to share their recipes. These pages will eventually form a new zine. Granted, it was related to food, and my knowledge of cooking is limited to chopping veggies and boiling pasta. But anything crafty has my attention, so I was eager to be a part of it.

The event was shorter than we expected, but fun. We were given with various craft supplies like colored and patterned paper, sketch pens, color pencils, old magazines, glue and scissors. The task was to write out a recipe of our choice. I just had fun with all the patterns I saw around me, and wrote of my love for peanut butter. Yeah, so I made no real contribution.

But these guys sure did! Can't wait to see the final product!

  1. LOL! Don't be down on yourself, you might find "An Ode to Peanut Butter" at the back of the cook-zine.

    It looks fun and creative.

  2. Haha I hope so! People has really creative recipes to share though, so I'm interested in seeing what the final zine looks like.
