A week in photos

May 19, 2012

At the beginning of the week, I decided to take one photo a day, preferably of the highlight of the day. Having a pretty basic phone camera, I couldn't try any effects (oh how I wish I could try some effects!), but here goes:

  • Monday: Got a haircut, obsessed about it all day and ended up getting mum to chop off the front a bit. Now I am sufficiently pleased with it.
  • Tuesday: Watched a beautiful sunset during my last major outing of the week. After this, I got busy with a lot of extremely annoying tasks. So yes, I cherish this picture.
  • Wednesday: Read some folk tales for the book club meet! The theme of this month's meet is cities and states of India, and I chose Karnataka. I really look forward to this meet, since we've also been asked to bring a dish common to the region we read about. What fun!
  • Thursday: Admired some lovely hair accessories made by my friend in Mumbai. I didn't lose a second in thought before giving in my order!
  • Friday: Enjoyed a lot of coffee, which got me through a not-so-fun day.
  • Saturday: Got started on a task from the 23 before 24 list. This one is 'Make a dress from scratch' which is tricky for me since, a) I don't have a sewing machine, b)I've never made anything even close to a dress before and c) I tend to get very ambitious with the design so I have to approach it with an editing eye. If nothing else, it's an exciting weekend project. I will definitely share the result (good or bad).
Happy weekend, y'all!
