25 before 25

October 23, 2012

It's been a few months since my birthday, but my list is still not complete! I suppose thats one of the cons of growing older; more number of items to put on the list. I've listed 20 (with one struck off) and figured I might as well put them up. So, now I can start working on them while simultaneously thinking of five more. The list is now a separate page that's linked to the blog on the left sidebar. I will keep updating it with things complete (hopefully that'll be a continuous process). Here are the 20 I have thought of till now:

1. Get another tattoo
2. Write a short story
3. Design and launch portfolio website
4. Color hair
5. Read 25 books
6. Learn sign language
7. Travel around the city on a cycle
8. Make 10 *good* prints
9. Go trekking
10. Start my own brand
11. Get a fohawk (yeah!)
12. Go kayaking
13. Swim with dolphins
14. Work at an animal shelter
15. Visit a meditation ashram
16. Sing in public
17. Climb a mountain
18. Learn a dance
19. Learn a foreign language
20. Run a half marathon

A positive note: I started working on #20. Yesterday marked the official first day of my half marathon training. Now let me be clear, I'm as beginner as it gets. If there was a book called 'Half Marathon for Dummies' (which there might be) I'd have a copy. So basically it is very important that I train. I can't just wake up one morning and decide to run 13.1 miles! I used to jog sometimes, but now I will follow a proper plan and try my best to stick to it. Documenting it on this blog will give me another reason to do so. More on it soon!

  1. These are so creative! Good luck and I hope you enjoy ticking off each item. I'm yet to get started on my 20 before 21... My birthday is on the 13 of January! I guess the journey is more important than the deadline. This helps me sleep better at night.

  2. Yeah, it's more about doing the things than actually crossing them off the list. Hope you get a lot done before your birthday!
